Ave Maria is an ode to the mother Island of the Azores:
Sta. Maria. It is inspired by the feminine energy
of the island as well as lore of the Atlantic Ocean &
local legends of mermaids & pirates.

The jewelry collection is limited edition and has been
created as a collaboration of Neon Joyride with local
artistans Marina Mendonça & Ines Vieira.
Designed in Santa Maria, each piece is made by hand,
in homage to old traditions.

The jewelry includes pieces in solid sterling silver
with rhodium plating (“lost wax” castings created from
ceramic molds), and ceramic motifs & elements decorated
with illustrations in a contemporary style influenced
from classic Portugese tile art & nautical lore.

this being a first edition collaboration, each piece has been marked with an I to signify the first edition.
The capsule collection is composed of pendants, rings, earrings and necklaces.

these stones are formed from ocean plastics that have broken down over time -crafted over decades by the elements - traversing thousands of miles in the sea, salt, sun, wind, sand & through volcanic currents. we have framed each as we have found it, shaped by the sea & unique in all the world.
each pendant supports the removal of ocean litter from our shores & the regeneration of local marine environments.
